Become a volunteer and join a network of dedicated neighbors in your area, including professionals, entrepreneurs, homemakers, teachers and students who are all working for a cause that they believe in. Hundreds of volunteers from around the United States work to make AKF USA 's programs, especially Partnership Walk, a great success. Volunteers contribute their precious time to build exhibits for the Walks in the different cities, organize the logistical details of holding large-scale fundraising events, spread awareness about global poverty and AKF's solutions to global poverty. AKF USA 's volunteers truly make a world of difference. By volunteering with AKF U.S.A. you can be sure that you are touching the lives of people around the world and that you are taking steps to alleviate global poverty. We can all do our part even without living in physical proximity to the people whose development efforts we support. Extend your helping hand to millions of people from around the world. At the same time expand your horizons, work for a cause that you believe in, learn more about organizing events, improve your communications skills and best of all, make new friends.

Each year volunteers take the lead role in organizing the Walk – from logistics, to event management, entertainment, and fundraising – volunteers do it all to make the Walk a great success.
